1.) Come on too strong at the beginning. I have heard a lot of women complain of men asking them for dates up front too soon. There is some value to be had by making a small effort to get to know someone online and then trying to meet up. You can focus your efforts in talking about what you have in common when you really do meet. If you do not get to know them online, that could spell trouble when you meet in person.
2.) Too many follow-up emails, messages. Yes, she got your message the first time! Stop harrassing her with multiple messages saying something like "Did you get my last message? I have not heard back from you." Maybe she did get your message but was to busy to respond so if you are going to write, give her another message worth responding to.
3.) Write comprehensibly, something that resembles English language. If you are serious and are truly looking for someone intelligent than you should present yourself that same way.
4.) Be yourself. Do not pretend you are someone you are not. You will be exposed for the liar and the fake that you are. Sometime and somehow you will lose your guard.
